Studying 101: Enjoyment- It Makes the Difference

“Enthusiasm” as American author Robert Haven Schauffler said, “is the thing that makes the world go round. Without its driving power, nothing worth doing has ever been done. Apart from it, joy cannot live.” When you are aflame with enthusiasm, you face chores and tasks- routine and dull, or difficult and taxing, or long and complicated – as challenges. You make the most of what you do, wisely using up precious minutes, hours, days and even years. You are far from bemoaning boredom or hardship. Enthusiasm over what you do, enjoying it, makes all the difference.

You can treat your studies as unrepeatable miracles. You can enjoy the opportunities before you and tackle them with vim, always thanking God for His grace. But how can you enjoy your school life? How can you develop enthusiasm- the electricity of life- for your studies? You act enthusiastic until you make it a habit. Enthusiasm is natural; it is being alive, taking the initiative, seeing the importance of what you do, giving it dignity and making what you do important to yourself and to others.

In order to enjoy schooling, you should always see the positive side of everything that comes your way. Failed the exam? Take it as a wake up call to study better. Got late from class? Learn to do the art of time management to be able to sleep early. Not so friendly? Take it as a time to join clubs and meet new people. Not satisfied with your course? Realize the fact that there are many courses offered whether it is located in the university you are studying or in other universities. Always look at the brighter side as it helps you bring put the enthusiastic character out and loud.

Students rarely say they are pleased, delighted or satisfied with their studies. But with proper perspective, appropriate study habits and time management, they can develop a right outlook towards studying. Wise attitudes and good habits from discipline help you learn more in less time and with pleasure. These attitudes and habits do not end in the classroom but flow beyond and will help you enrich your lives with rewards and achievements.
